TestFlight

SANTA MONICA (2012) - The talented team at LA based 23 Divide created a platform allowing iOS developers to rapidly distribute beta versions of their iPhone apps before publishing to iTunes. I've experienced the pain of mobile provisioning first hand, so I jumped at the opportunity to wrap my head around this problem.

I was brought in to help envision version 2.0 of TestFlight's session and crash reporting along with a host of new reports organizing the rich data collected by TestFlight's well adopted SDK.

TestFlight Design System

My role would evolve over the course of the next 2.5 years. First as an Interaction and UX designer, where I would get the chance to carve out TestFlight's first design system as an entry point for front end devs. Our design system enabled us to rapidly iterate on new features and quickly test our assumptions in the wild. This system would get repurposed by our parent company, Burstly, and serve as the backbone to rapid development across the full spectrum of app developer tools: TestFlight (beta testing & distribution), FlightPath (production analytics), and SkyRocket (ad monetization).

Crash Reporting

As our team grew, I filled product management duties, working closely with our CTO to shape our product departmental processes as well as help align new development. During this time I helped oversee improved crash reporting, the release of production analytics tools (TestFlight Live), Android support, and mobile 2.0.

Mobile 2.0

As lead UX designer, I was responsible for the interaction, visual design, and UX for the second coming of TestFlight's mobile experience. With a complex array of potential install scenarios, I orchestrated a shared vision across our executive team, marketing, and front end devs to help bring a richer mobile experience to life.

TestFlight mobile 2.0 featured new account management tools, wizard like registration process, app version history, device management, and app filtering.
